Part of the Coast Casinos, The Barbary Coast Las Vegas has the benefits of a casino conglomerate while keeping a small-Vegas type of atmosphere. This isn't necessarily the place to go if you are planning on a luxurious pampering with high rollers. However, if you're looking for a couple of Nevada 's best restaurants in the same place, this is a great place to start.
Michael's is consistently rated by Zagat as one of the top fine dining establishments in all of Clark County. So what makes is so great? Fine interesting food, as well as an intimate eating establishment. If you are staying at the Barbary Coast Hotel Las Vegas, you can get a bit of a jump on reservations, which are only in two waves a night, at 6 pm and at 9 pm. Make sure you have the schedule to get there, since there is a $25.00 no-show fee. Here's a look at the menu: Barbarycoastcasino.com.
Also under the same roof, Drai's is on the top five list from Zagat, and is more of a California cuisine type of place, but just as delicious. It was also named the most romantic restaurant by Gourmet Magazine. Though it's a part of the Barbary Coast Resort Las Vegas, it has a private elevator, and requires a reservation as well.
Finally, if you're going to the Barbary Coast for some entertainment, it's classic all the way. Elvis (Uh, not young Elvis, but Big Older Elvis, at that) and Dean Martin impersonators perform year round for a look at what LV used to be like back in the days gone by. Overall, you give up a little on the entertainment side for the dining, but for the gourmet, that's just fine.
