Caesars Palace Las Vegas

The image is as much "Vegas" as it is disturbing: Evel Knievel attempting to jump the fountain at Caesars Palace, not making it and breaking every bone in his body. The fact that Evel chose Caesars to stage his jump says a lot about the hotel casino. If I had one place to stay in Las Vegas, I would most likely pick Caesars Palace Las Vegas. It has everything you go to LV for, and more. It was one of the first casinos I ever went to, and it's one of the first I instruct friends and family to visit. The Forum Shops, the shows, the fights, and the guys dressed like Caesar all over the place.

One of the only drawbacks of Caesars Palace Hotel Las Vegas is the room prices. You can't get anything under $140 a night during the week, and between $250 and $600 on the weekend. However, for that you get lots of history, and amenities, including special deals to Celine Dion and Elton John in concert.

My favorite part of Caesars Palace is the Forum Shops, located on property with great high class shops as well as moving fountain shows, and great restaurants. Spago's, Bertolini's, Chinois and others are right there, all delicious food at reasonable fine dining prices. Simon.com is a directory of all the shops that make the Forum Shops at the Caesars Palace Resort Las Vegas a great place to spend an afternoon when the sun gets too hot, and the gambling gets too cold. Add in the fantastic dining in Caesars itself, including what is possibly the best buffet on the strip, and it's a great day.
