You get a little of everything in Las Vegas , and "normal" usually doesn't cut it. You could have a normal meal, but instead you gorge yourself on the international buffet. You could stay in a normal hotel room, but instead you have a whirlpool, his and hers bathrooms and extreme amenities. The same goes for something as simple as a movie. You could have something normal, but instead Las Vegas 3D movies are the place to go.
The Luxor hotel has not only 3D Movies, but IMAX 3D Movies. It's probably the best place in LV to view a 3D movie, and they have four different choices--Mystery of the Nile , Sharks 3D, Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag, and Haunted Castle 3D. The IMAX makes all the difference. It's huge, clear, and well worth the $9.95. The 3D movie changes every hour, so if you want to see all four, spend an afternoon. You can find out about it online, but the best thing to do is make reservations over the phone at 1-800-557-7428. The IMAX 3D movies aren't the only attraction there. I particularly like the IMAX 3D motion ride In Search of the Obelisk, and kids will like it as well. Find out more at www.luxor.com .
A number of the LV 3D Movies are motion simulators like the Luxor . A few places now have rides that incorporate the 3D technology. Cinema Rides at the Forum Shops in Las Vegas has a number of different themed rides with the 3D IMAX technology. I love these kinds of rides, where your seat moves with action. A little hint: if you start to get sick, just close your eyes. It helps! You can save Atlantis, go through the Galactic Flight, on the Haunted Graveyard and more.
