Shopping falls into two categories--window/high end and robo. For the robo-shopper, who is looking to find the best deal with discount merchandise, Las Vegas is a great place to be. But it's also a great place to window shop (or if you have the bankroll for high end luxury shopping) then there are fantastic spots for that as well. Las Vegas shopping comes for all budgets, and you never know who you will see.
If you are looking to window shop, and can't afford most of the big designers, the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace is great. They mix unaffordable (Versace, Bulgari) with affordable (Kaybee Toys, Nike Store). They have great places to eat, free fountain shows and you can make it an entire day.
Similar is Desert Passage, part of the Alladin. It has more lower-end than high-end stores to check out.
Back on the high end: Via Bellagio, at the Bellagio, that has Gucci, Armani, Dior, etc. Don't forget to check out the fountain show. That, at least, is free! Here's a list of the stores at www.bellagio.com.
For more affordable, traditional malls , the best on in Las Vegas is the one on the strip. The Fashion Show Mall has the best assemblage of anchor stores of any mall in Clark County: Saks Fifth Avenue , Neiman Marcus, Macy's, Dillard's, Bloomingdales Home Store and Robinson's May. Don't miss the shopping--walk between the anchors for all of the expected mall stores as well as a collection of remarkable boutiques. For more information, go to www.thefashionshow.com.
As for discount shopping, other than the great sales at the regular malls, they have a couple of outlet malls. The best place for cheap prices is Las Vegas Outlet Center (Formerly Belz Factory Outlet) at the extreme south of the strip, 7400 South Las Vegas Boulevard , has a VIP shoppers club and other perks for frequent shoppers, with LV Shopping favorite stores like Nike, Oshkosh B'Gosh, Reebok, and Kitchen Collection. Premiumoutlets.com has more information.
In addition, nearby Primm has an great outlet mall as well as a shuttle to get there. Check with your hotel for details. You can get more information by clicking on www.lasvegas.com or www.vegas.com.
