Like a city within a city, the MGM Grand Las Vegas is the behemoth of Las Vegas Hotel Casinos. After the original burned down in a horrifying blaze in the 1980's, the new MGM Grand rose in its place, and has everything you need for a Vegas vacation under the same roof. As someone who has stayed in a number of places in LV , this is truly the best of one-stop shopping.
Now, not everyone wants a place so big you can (and do) get lost in it. Even after living in Vegas for years and visiting often, I find myself wandering around the MGM Casino Las Vegas trying to find the restaurant, or show, or store I came to visit. My advice: Get a map. However, it truly has all the amenities you need for a Southern Nevada visit.
If you like luxurious rooms, they have seven different grades of suites. If it's gambling you want at the MGM Grand, they have all the popular tables and slots, and more of them. If you are into fine dining, there are 15 restaurants on property, from Emeril's (Bam!) to the MGM Grand Buffet . They have a club ( Studio 54 ), a Cirque du Soleil show ( Ka ) and the Grand Garden Arena , which houses great events, including prize fights. For amenities, they have a full service spa, premium golf times at a number of courses, a huge pool area, and lots of shopping right on site. If you can't think of anything to do while you're there, that's your own fault! Check out all the options at www.mgmgrand.com .
Now, not everyone heads to Clark County for a huge casino experience. The MGM Grand Resort Las Vegas may be too big for those who like intimate settings, and it is a little pricey, especially the Skyloft rooms, which come with personal butlers. But hey, if that's what you are after, the MGM Grand Resort Las Vegas may be for you.
