Terribles Las Vegas

You're looking for a place to stay, and you come to a casino called Terrible's. Your first reaction may be, hey, if a place calls itself Terrible, how good can it be? Terribles Las Vegas doesn't call itself that because it's bad, but because it's hooked up with Terrible Herbst gas stations and car washes, which are all over the place in Las Vegas . As for their hotel casinos, it is a relatively new venture for the company, and it has its pros and cons.

Pros:

  1. Inexpensive rooms. The rooms at Terribles Hotel Las Vegas are very competitive, but there is the location issue (see cons).
  2. Inexpensive food. One of the few cheap buffet places left in LV , where you can get any meal for less than $10, and every night is a different theme.
  3. Slot Club. Voted the best in Las Vegas a couple of years ago. That means Terribles slants towards a Clark County local's casino, but regular visitors can take advantage as well.

Cons:

  1. Location. It's not miles from the strip, but it's a long walk if you want to do it. Terrible's is close to the airport, so the cab ride will be cheap, but if you don't have a car, you may need to take a bunch of them.
  2. Not a huge variety of food choices. They advertise an on-site McDonald's as an amenity--not in my book it isn't.
