Searching for a great deal in Vegas isn't just "Folie". For many, value for their money is of supreme importance on a trip to Las Vegas . Making sure they aren't spending a lot for accommodations is sometimes premium. If value for your money on your LV trip is important, the Tropicana Las Vegas is a great place to start. Not only do they have some very low starting room rates ($44.95 a night early in the week during the summer), they have some fun free shows, plus Les Folies Bergere, a classic, though a little campy, showgirl review. It plays twice a night, and the early performance is considered "family friendly", meaning the lovely ladies keep their outfits, what there is of them, on for the entire show.
The Trop has been a staple in southern Nevada for many years, and for more than 20 years, the Tropicana Hotel Las Vegas has also been home to the Comedy Stop, headlining big comic names and rising stars as well. The yuks are twice a night all year long. For tickets, call 1-800-829-9034. If you're interested in old Vegas, the Las Vegas museum is located in the Paradise Tower of the Tropicana and worth a visit. If you are just too busy in the Tropicana Casino, they have an aerial trapeze show every other hour right over the top of the slots.
Speaking of the Towers, when booking make sure you find out where you are. With two different towers, you may want to be close to what you are going to do. For instance, The Folies Bergere, the Xtreme Magic show and the museum are in the Paradise Tower of the Tropicana hotel, while the Comedy Stop and some of the better restaurants are off the Island Tower . Not a big deal, but something to consider.
