Venetian Las Vegas

One of the great things about Las Vegas is getting to travel around the world without leaving Clark County , Nevada . So you've never ridden a gondola down the waterways of Venice . So what?! You can experience that at the Venetian Las Vegas as you travel through the high-end mall, the Grand Canal Shops, along the water, listening to the warbling of the gondoliers.

I enjoy the Venetian Hotel Las Vegas for its fine dining. The last time I was there I ate at the Zeffirino Ristorante , a high-end Italian restaurant with al fresco dining in the piazza at the end of the Canal. I had the best seafood risotto I've ever had, prepared with scallops, shrimp, clams, and squid ink. I've never eaten an entirely black food before, but it was tremendous. www.venetian.com/dining gives you all the choices you need from the Venetian Resort restaurant selection, which is large.

As you are deciding your base of operations in Vegas, the Venetian Casino Las Vegas is in a decent position, in walking distance to many spots on the strip. If you are looking for comfort, they have plenty of high-end rooms, with step-down living rooms, and access to the Canyon Ranch Spa Club. Conde Nast calls the Canyon Ranch Spa Club Las Vegas one of the best in the country, offering full service spa treatments. Their website: www.canyonranch.com .

In all, the Venetian Resort Las Vegas is on the upper side of comfort, as well as the upper side on the price range--a hotel that has mostly suites. You're looking to drop at least $150 a night, and that's only if you get a great package. The Venetian's website: www.venetian.com .
